According to a death record from Terre Haute, Vigo, Indiana, Aileen Means died on September 29th, 1962.

Dear Lean.
How you enjoying married life. I hope fine. I know you dont know what to think of me waiting so long to write but Lean dear I been had some many different ones from Montgomery see I was there last untill they keept me for a go all the time. I am not going to wait that long any more.
The young man was ere when you was had gone when. come back so now I have Tom, Cousin Robete Lankin and another boy stoping here. Mrs Johnson stay next door home spent a whle with me and also Mrs Curtis Lewis from home so you see how it been on Festus Adams.
How is Florida did the storm do any harm there where you. I thought of you doing the time.
So they tell me Mrs Naomi Heues had a fine baby boy now about four weeks old now.
I don't know what to say about you and Kate so close together changen names. I hope you like it Lean. I know yoou look talking about Mrs. Gladen. Hurry up and grow so you will look like a married lady.
Lean write me some thing I been thinking about Montgomery. Papa wrote us to coe home for the winter and I like here. Tom went home two weaks ago spent twoo days Emmett and lillie and all week at home at the time.
How Mrs. Means is she there with you all at home love to her if she is there also remember me as Velma to Mr. Gladden. I would like very much to meet him soon. Tell you I wish you all the happiness in the world.
